Bai Dau Beach lies on the western side of Big Mountain (Núi Lớn) and just north of Vung Tau’s city center. From Front Beach, visitors only need to follow Tran Phu Street for about 3 km, passing by the historic Bach Dinh (White Palace), to reach this serene and picturesque coastal spot.
Untouched Beauty – Sheltered and Peaceful
Bai Dau was once known as Vung May, named after the misty forest clouds that drifted down from Big Mountain. The beach is naturally sheltered, with calm waters and a quiet atmosphere thanks to its bowl-shaped terrain and the large rocky headlands embracing both ends of the bay. This creates a raw, tranquil landscape rarely found elsewhere.

Behind the shoreline, Big Mountain rises steeply, its lush green hillside extending all the way to the sea—forming a dramatic and uniquely beautiful backdrop that defines Bai Dau.
A Spiritual Landmark: The Statue of Our Lady Mary
Standing nearly 30 meters tall, the Statue of Our Lady Mary rises gracefully amidst the vast blue sea and verdant forest. This iconic structure has long been a spiritual symbol of Bai Dau, attracting pilgrims and visitors from near and far.

The white buildings perched on the mountainside, combined with the emerald waters below, complete a charming and peaceful panorama.
A Quiet Escape – Perfect for Relaxation
Unlike the lively and crowded Back Beach or Front Beach, Bai Dau offers a secluded, calming space—perfect for those seeking a quiet retreat, a scenic sea view, or a peaceful moment with nature.
Its gentle beauty and poetic atmosphere have made Bai Dau a favorite destination for couples and travelers who want to slow down and find a tranquil corner within the bustling coastal city.
