Bai Doi Dua – A Peaceful Beach in the Heart of Phu Quy Island

Bai Doi Dua, located in Ngu Phung Hamlet at the very center of the Phu Quy Special Zone, is known for its tranquil blue waters, gentle waves, and long stretch of soft white sand. It is an ideal spot for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the scenery. At the tip of Doi Dua lies the Martyrs’ Memorial, affectionately called the “Martyrs’ Beach” by locals, where visitors may stop to light incense in remembrance of the Phu Quy soldiers who sacrificed their lives during wartime.

Despite being close to a densely populated residential area, Bai Doi Dua has remarkably preserved its pristine and refreshing beauty. In recent years, the area has been developed with a modern seawall system and upgraded into a coastal tourism zone with amenities designed for sightseeing, recreation, and leisure.

The beach enjoys a mild climate year-round and features diverse coral reefs, lush coastal vegetation, and distinctive black volcanic rock formations—once known as Doi Ong Tinh. Its gently sloping shoreline and calm, clear waters make it perfect for immersing yourself in the cool sea.

One of the most unique highlights of Bai Doi Dua is its vibrant, multicolored seawall stretching along the beach. When the waves crash against the brightly painted blocks, the entire shoreline lights up with vivid, eye-catching hues—creating a photogenic setting unlike any other.

Surrounding the beach is a range of well-integrated tourist services, including restaurants, hotels, and cafés offering fresh seafood throughout the year. Its central location near the island’s administrative area brings an added sense of convenience and safety—an advantage few other beaches can offer.

At Bai Doi Dua, visitors can admire the raw beauty of the sea, listen to seabirds, feel the cool ocean breeze, and watch fiery sunsets paint the horizon. The beach also hosts exciting recreational activities. Notably, during Lunar New Year, it becomes the venue for Phu Quy’s traditional boat racing festival, the island’s biggest annual celebration, drawing crowds from across the island in a joyful and festive atmosphere.

With its natural beauty and modern development, Bai Doi Dua is quickly becoming a top destination for swimming, sightseeing, leisure activities, and teambuilding events. It stands as an essential stop on any journey to discover Phu Quy Island—the charming “sea frontier” full of warmth and island hospitality.
