Bai Doi Dua is located in Ngu Phung, right at the center of the Phu Quy Special Zone. This beach is known for its calm, crystal-clear water and soft white sand, making it an ideal spot for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the coastal scenery. At the tip of Doi Dua stands the island’s Martyrs’ Memorial, where visitors can stop to pay tribute to the Phu Quy soldiers who bravely sacrificed their lives during wartime. Because of this, locals often refer to the area as “Bai Bien Bia Liet Sy.”
Despite being close to the residential center, Bai Doi Dua still retains much of its natural beauty. In recent years, the Central Government has invested in anti-erosion sea embankments and modern tourism facilities, gradually transforming the area into a well-organized, visitor-friendly destination.

The beach enjoys mild weather year-round and features vibrant coral reefs, green coastal vegetation, and unique volcanic rock formations once known as Doi Ong Tinh. Gentle sandy slopes and small, calm waves make the beach perfect for safe and refreshing swims.
One of the most distinctive sights here is the colorful breakwater system. The embankment walls are painted in striking contrasting colors, and when the waves crash against them, they create a stunning interplay of shades that is both unusual and visually captivating.
Surrounding the beach are various tourism services currently being developed in harmony with the coastal environment. Restaurants, cafés, and hotels located right in the tourism center offer fresh seafood year-round. Bai Doi Dua is also near the island’s administrative district, giving visitors a sense of safety and convenience that few other beaches can match.
Beyond swimming and sightseeing, visitors can enjoy the peaceful sound of seagulls, the rhythmic crash of waves, and the refreshing sea breeze while watching the glowing sunset sink into the horizon. The beach is also the venue for one of Phu Quy’s biggest cultural celebrations: the Traditional Boat Racing Festival, held every Lunar New Year. During this time, locals and visitors gather along the shore to cheer on the boats, creating an exciting and festive atmosphere unmatched anywhere else on the island.
With its natural charm and ongoing development, Bai Doi Dua is becoming a modern beach destination ideal for sightseeing, swimming, outdoor activities, and teambuilding events. It is undoubtedly one of the must-visit stops on any journey to explore the beautiful island of Phu Quy — the land of “warm-hearted people and the salty embrace of the sea.”
