Bai Vong is located in Ham Ninh fishing village on the eastern coast of Phu Quoc Island, stretching about 7 kilometers from the Rach Ham estuary to Hang Ran Cape. The area features flat terrain, good drainage, and strong geological structure, making it suitable for future tourism development planning.
Within this 7 km stretch, about 2 km south of the Rach Ham estuary lies within the protection zone of the new Duong To Airport. Due to the influence of aircraft takeoff and landing routes, this section is not recommended for construction or architectural development.
Although Bai Vong has a large land reserve, it is not considered an ideal swimming beach. The sandy shore is narrow, and during the dry season the coastline can be less clean. Yet the landscape retains a distinctive rustic charm: the water is shallow and calm—even several hundred meters offshore. During low tide, a vast sandy expanse emerges and stretches far out; during high tide, seawater rises all the way to the forest edge, creating a unique natural scene.
Bai Vong is most beautiful at sunrise or under the moonlit sky. The gentle light reflecting on the still water brings a sense of calmness, helping visitors unwind and ease away the stresses of daily life.
The area is also home to Bai Vong Port, an important passenger transit point connecting Phu Quoc with Rach Gia and Ha Tien. Thanks to this convenience, Bai Vong has become a familiar stop for travelers before beginning their journey to explore the rest of the island.
With its peaceful atmosphere, wide-open seascape, and the simple rhythm of local fishing life, Bai Vong is an appealing destination for those who appreciate natural tranquility and the rustic charm of Phu Quoc.
