The Cao Dai Temple on Phu Quy Island, also known as Ngu Phung Holy Temple, is located in Ngu Phung Village, within the Phu Quy Special Zone of Lam Dong Province. This is one of the island’s notable religious sites, showcasing the distinctive architectural style and spiritual symbolism of Caodaism.
The temple features three main entrances: the central gate reserved for dignitaries, and two smaller side doors designated separately for male and female worshippers. Inside, the sanctuary is arranged according to the Three Legislative Palaces of Caodaism: Bat Quai Dai, Cuu Trung Dai, and Hiep Thien Dai, each symbolizing an essential aspect of the faith’s cosmology and governance structure.
At the main altar, visitors will find a unique artwork depicting Laozi, Shakyamuni Buddha, Jesus Christ, and Prophet Mohammed meeting in a world of unity and harmony. This symbolic image conveys the core doctrine of Caodaism—the convergence of religions and the ideal of a universal, peaceful world.
