Hon Tai Island – A Pristine Marine Paradise of Con Dao

Hon Tai is located to the southeast of Con Son Island, covering about 34 hectares. It lies 5.3 km from Con Dao Tourism Pier and just 1 km from Shark Cape (Mũi Cá Mập). With its untouched natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere, Hon Tai is an ideal destination for travelers seeking relaxation, exploration, and authentic island experiences.

A Sanctuary for Sea Turtles

Hon Tai features two small, powdery-white beaches that become a nesting ground for sea turtles every year from April to September. During this period, hundreds of mother turtles come ashore to lay eggs, and thousands of hatchlings are released back into the ocean under strict conservation procedures.

The surrounding waters are rich in marine life, home to colorful coral reefs, reef fish, giant clams, sea cucumbers, sea turtles, and more. Thanks to its ecological value, Hon Tai is designated as a strictly protected zone within the Con Dao Marine Protected Area.
