If I had to choose one beach that best represents the soul and signature beauty of Con Dao, I would not hesitate to name Bai Nhat. This beach possesses a quietly captivating charm—simple yet alluring, gentle yet irresistibly beautiful—that makes every visitor want to return again and again. It is a perfect blend of untouched nature, majestic landscapes, poetic softness, romance, and a pristine purity reminiscent of the island’s earliest days.
Bai Nhat lies along the coastal road from Ben Dam Port to Con Son town, one of the most scenic routes on the island. One side is embraced by mountains and lush forests; the other opens to turquoise waters and white sandy shores. The road curves gracefully like a ribbon, enchanting travelers from the very first moment—both visually breathtaking and refreshingly invigorating with its crisp island air.
At sunset, the entire route seems to transform—glowing, warm, and dreamlike. The soft golden light paints the road in a gentle hue, making the scenery even more delicate and poetic.
From higher vantage points, you can feel the full grandeur, wildness, and serenity of this remote island—a beauty that is both raw and soothing.
What makes Bai Nhat truly special is its untouched authenticity. Even though it sits right beside the island’s main road, the beach remains unspoiled and undeveloped. Everything is still in its original state: the blue sea, white sand, pebbles, wild grasses, and endless mountain silhouettes stretching across the horizon.
On bright afternoons, Bai Nhat becomes even more dazzling. The harsh tropical sun seems to disappear the moment you witness the vivid emerald hue of the water. Under strong sunlight, the sea sparkles with a clear blue glow, shimmering like polished jade.

Con Dao is one of the few places in Vietnam where the sea remains crystal clear. Gentle sandy slopes, coral patches, and natural rock formations add depth and character to Bai Nhat’s landscape. Smooth stones on clean white sand, paired with transparent water, create a signature scene found nowhere else.
Here, you can swim, snorkel, stroll along the shore, or simply sit on the rocks and immerse yourself in the tranquil, dreamy atmosphere.
And when Bai Nhat is mentioned, sunset inevitably comes to mind. Due to the island’s topography, places where you can view a direct sunset are limited—and Bai Nhat is one of the most beautiful. Depending on the season, you may see the sun dipping behind the mountains or sinking slowly into the sea—each moment precious in its own way.
Even on days without intensely vibrant colors, we still found ourselves returning to Bai Nhat just to watch the light fade. Sometimes, a single burst of pinkish glow spreading across the sky and sea is enough to silence you—and in that fleeting moment, it feels like a complete, perfect sunset.
Experiencing Bai Nhat is learning to slow down, to appreciate the magical moments nature gifts us. Amid the rush of modern life, you realize how valuable it is to find places that remain pure and untouched—gems that are becoming increasingly rare as mass tourism grows.
