Phu Thanh Whale Temple (Vạn Phú Thạnh), located in Phu Thạnh Village, Long Hai, was first built in the early 19th century and underwent major restoration in 1908. Its impressive new entrance gate was constructed in 2001.
The temple preserves two royal decrees (sắc phong) honoring the Nam Hai God (Whale Deity) from the reigns of Emperors Tu Duc and Khải Định.
Phu Thanh Temple holds three major annual ceremonies:
- Spring Ceremony in the first lunar month
- Autumn Ceremony in the seventh lunar month
- Whale Worship Ceremony on the 1st day of the third lunar month
