DAY 1: VŨNG TÀU DEPARTURE → DISCOVER CÔN ĐẢO

- 11:45 – 12:00: Arrival at Bến Đầm Port. Transfer: Take a shuttle or taxi from the port to Côn Đảo town center (approx. 40,000 VND/person). Scenic Route: On the way, enjoy breathtaking views of iconic coastal landmarks: Hòn Bà Islet, Cửa Tử, Love Peak (Đỉnh Tình Yêu), and the pristine Bãi Nhát Beach.
- 12:30: After a 20-30 minute transfer, arrive in the town center for lunch and hotel check-in.
Afternoon: Highlights of Côn Đảo
- Côn Đảo Museum: A vital cultural landmark established in 2009. This is the starting point for understanding the island’s profound history and heritage.
- Núi Một Pagoda (Vân Sơn Tự): The island’s only Buddhist pagoda, perched on a hill offering panoramic views of An Hải Lake and the town below.

23:00 – Hàng Dương Cemetery Visit: A solemn and spiritually significant experience. Visitors pay their respects at:
- The Central Memorial Monument.
- Graves of revolutionary martyrs.
- The tomb of Võ Thị Sáu (the first female prisoner executed on the island).
Note: This night visit is a deeply respected tradition for visitors to the island.
DAY 2: HISTORICAL INSIGHTS OR NATURE RETREAT → RETURN
Morning: Breakfast & Select Your Experience Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then choose one of the following two options:
OPTION 1: Historical Prison System Tour (Heritage Focus)
- The Governor’s Palace (Dinh Chúa Đảo): The residence and workplace of 53 island governors, showcasing the history of the prison system’s formation.
- Phú Hải Prison: The oldest French-built detention center, featuring the rice-milling cellar, solitary confinement cells, and the rock-breaking yard where patriot Phan Chu Trinh was held.
- French Tiger Cages (Phú Tường): A complex of roofless cells used for brutal physical torture during the colonial era.
- American Tiger Cages (Phú Bình): Built in 1971 for psychological torture; this is where prisoners first received news of the Saigon Liberation.
- The Cow Shed (Chuồng Bò): A notorious torture site used under both French and American regimes.
- Phi Yến Shrine (An Sơn Miếu): Dedicated to Lady Phi Yến, a tragic figure in the Nguyen Dynasty legend, famed for the folk verse: “Gió đưa cây cải về trời, rau răm ở lại chịu lời đắng cay” (The wind carries the cabbage to the heavens, while the laksa leaves remain to suffer the bitterness).

- 12:00: Transfer to Bến Đầm Port to board the high-speed ferry back to Vũng Tàu.
